Microgainz Privacy Policy Effective date: May 18, 2026 Last updated: May 18, 2026 Microgainz is a habit-formation app designed to help you fit short workouts into your daily routine. We take your privacy seriously and aim to collect as little data as possible. This policy explains what data Microgainz collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Data we collect Account data When you sign in to Microgainz using Sign in with Apple, Apple may share your name and email address with us — only if you choose to share them. This information is stored exclusively in your private iCloud database (CloudKit). We, the developer, cannot access this data. If you choose to use Apple’s Hide My Email feature, the email address we receive is a private relay address managed by Apple. We cannot link this to your real email. Workout data All habits, completions, custom workouts, and streak history are stored in your private iCloud database (CloudKit). This data is associated with your Apple ID, encrypted in transit and at rest, and is not accessible to the developer or any third party. We use Apple’s CloudKit framework to provide this functionality. Apple’s privacy practices for CloudKit can be reviewed at apple.com/privacy. Analytics data Microgainz collects anonymous usage analytics to improve the app. These analytics never include your name, email address, identifiable user ID, or the content of your habits or workouts. We collect category-level information such as:
App version and iOS version Workout category (e.g., “lower body”), duration bucket, and equipment type Time-of-day bucket (e.g., “morning”) for scheduled habits Whether a notification led to a completion Coarse geographic region (city or region level, derived from your IP address at the moment a single analytics request is made)
Coarse location is derived once per request at our analytics provider and is stored as aggregate counters (e.g., total app launches per city per day), not attached to individual events. We do not store IP addresses. We do not request access to your device’s GPS or precise location. Analytics data is collected by our third-party provider, TelemetryDeck, which is GDPR-compliant and does not track users across apps. We do not track you across other apps or websites We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA) We do not show advertisements We do not sell your data to anyone We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or location services We do not store any data on servers we operate, beyond the anonymized analytics described above We do not share your data with marketing companies, data brokers, or third-party advertisers
How your data is used The data described above is used only to:
Provide the core functionality of the app (your habits and progress) Improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns Send you the notifications you have configured (these are local notifications generated by your device, not by us)
Account deletion You can delete your Microgainz account at any time from the Settings screen of the app. When you delete your account:
All your data in your private iCloud database is permanently deleted Your Sign in with Apple authorization is revoked Any local app data on your device is cleared This action cannot be undone
Anonymous analytics data already collected cannot be associated with your account, so it cannot be deleted individually. It remains as part of aggregate, non-identifiable statistics. Data retention Your private workout data is retained for as long as you maintain your account. We do not back up or copy your private data — it lives only in your iCloud, under your control. Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 24 months at our analytics provider before being deleted. Children’s privacy Microgainz is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it. Your rights Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have legal rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete it. Because all your personal data lives in your iCloud, you can exercise most of these rights directly through the iOS Settings and the in-app account deletion feature. How does Microgainz work? Microgainz helps you fit short workouts (30 to 120 seconds) into your daily routines. Set up a habit, pair it with a time window when you’re free, and Microgainz reminds you to complete it.
My streak disappeared. Can it be restored? Streaks reset when a scheduled day passes without a completion. Once reset, they can’t be restored — but you can start a new one immediately.
How do I delete my account? Go to Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data from iCloud.
Why don’t I get notifications? Make sure notifications are enabled in iOS Settings → Microgainz → Notifications. Also check that your habit is set as Active and that the current time is within its scheduled window.
